Quotes
Building a quote
Section titled “Building a quote”Create a quote from Quotes → New. A quote has a client, an optional property, a title, description and scope of work, and is organized in sections (e.g. Materials, Labor, Equipment) containing line items.
Line items can come from your catalog (materials and services with saved prices) or be added manually. Each item has quantity, unit, unit price, optional cost/markup, and can be marked optional. Totals update automatically with:
- Tax rate (percentage)
- Discount (percentage or fixed amount)
- Deposit (percentage of the total, shown to the client)
- Valid until date
Sending and approval
Section titled “Sending and approval”Send emails the client a PDF of the quote plus a secure link. From that link (no login needed) the client can review, approve with an electronic signature or decline with a reason. You’ll see the status change in real time:
draft → sent → viewed → approved / declined
Every send and status change creates a version snapshot, so you always know exactly what the client saw. Quote views are tracked (when and how long).
After approval
Section titled “After approval”- Convert to project — carries the client, scope and budget over (Projects).
- Service analytics update automatically: times quoted vs. times sold and average sale price per catalog service.
Other actions
Section titled “Other actions”- Duplicate copies a quote (new number) for similar jobs.
- PDF downloads the same document the client receives, with your logo and branding.
- Recalculate refreshes totals after bulk item edits.
The AI assistant can create quotes, add line items and — with your confirmation — email them to the client.
